The Snowy River Landcare group covers a large area north of Dalgety and follows along the Snowy River. It is a large and varied region and the focus is on weed control and land restoration, as well as preserving the river. The weeds mainly effecting the area include serrated tussock, African lovegrass, briar & blackberry.
The Snowy River Landcare group is an active group with members who care about their region and are keen to be involved in maintaining the natural beauty of the area. Their mission is to be a group of people passionate about the environment, increasing farm productivity, and supporting each other.
