Held on Thursday, 29 May, this year’s Muster carries the theme: “Celebrating Opportunities for Collaboration – Landcare’s Projects, Partners, People & Skills.”
Hosted by South East Landcare, the event will showcase the many ways that collaborative partnerships, community passion and practical tools are shaping thriving, resilient
landscapes across south-east NSW in projects and activities happening now across the South East Landcare Network.
The Muster will feature keynote speaker Professor Andrew Campbell, a global leader in sustainable agriculture and Australia’s first National Landcare Facilitator. Professor Campbell brings decades of experience in land management, agricultural innovation and policy, most
recently serving as CEO of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and interim Executive Managing Director of the global CGIAR network.
Attendees will also hear from Dr Sonia Graham (University of Wollongong), who will share her research into the social success factors of long-standing Landcare groups across the South East—offering insights into what keeps Landcare communities strong and effective
over time.

Participants will learn about innovative tools and approaches including:

-Covram with Ian Davidson – vegetation and habitat assessment
-GIS Mapping – using spatial data for Landcare planning
-Atlas of Living Australia with Peggy Eby – biodiversity data to inform action
-Storytelling with Nviromedia – capturing impact through film

The event will also explore successful collaborations already delivering results on the ground—such as projects with The Mulloon Institute and Water NSW, Local Land Services, Travelling Stock Route (TSR) managers, and the broader Landcare NSW network.
“This year’s Muster is about coming together to learn from each other, share what’s working, and be inspired by the diversity of people and projects making a real difference in our region,” said Linda Cavanagh South East Landcare’s Regional Coordinator. “Whether you’re a long-time Landcarer or just getting started, this event will equip you with tools, ideas and connections to support your local efforts.”

This Muster is jointly funded by the Australian Governments Natural Heritage Trust and the Landcare NSW Landcare Enabling Program, and delivered by Local Land Services a member of the Commonwealth Regional Delivery Partners Panel.
