DESCRIPTION:We would like to thank all our guard making friends for their hard work and commitment to helping us get trees in the ground this year. \nPlease consider coming along to our final planting before the summer sets in.   \nWe will be assembling guards (500) under our large USLN marquee \nWhere: Cootralantra Travelling Stock Reserve near Berridale. Travel north on Kosciuszko Road from Berridale village for 4 km.  Turn into the Cootralantra Road (dirt) at the Cooba Motel sign.  The site is in about 800 metres and just before the Cooba Motel driveway. \nDate & Time: Friday\, 20th November @ 8.30 am \nBring: Your chair\, hat\, waterbottle and your sense of fun. \nRefreshments will be supplied although you may with to bring something interesting to share. \nPlease text Lauren on 0411 402 978 if you would like to be part of this final session.

SUMMARY:Friends of Grasslands - Best of the Monaro TSR tour
DESCRIPTION:Sat-Sun 14-15 Nov: Best of Monaro TSRs weekend \nFOG will be visiting a number of Travelling Stock Reserves on the Monaro over two\ndays. Here is a short summary from them. \nOn Saturday we will visit three\, possibly four\, TRS and on Sunday two and\nfinish early. On Saturday we plan to visit Gedzederick TSR (Berridale)\, Maffra Lake\nTSR (Maffra) and Ravensworth TSR (Maffra Rd). On Sunday we plan to visit Top\nHut TSR (Adaminaby) and Iron Pot TSR (Kosciuszcko Rd) or Rhinefalls TSR (near\nAdaminaby). An early start on Saturday is predicated so most participants will\narrive on Friday evening. We plan to stay at the Cooma caravan park\, but there are\nalso numerous hotels or motels. There are plenty of choices for restaurants in Cooma\nfor Friday and Saturday evenings. You may join us on either or both days. We expect\nto see some wonderful flowering and learn what is being done to manage these\nTSRs. Inquires and to register: margaret.ning@fog.org.au

SUMMARY:Help us assemble 1000 tree guards\, Berridale\, Monday\, 16th March
DESCRIPTION:Tree guards are an important component in restoring our landscape. Without a guard\, our seedlings perish very quickly. \nWe are planting 1000 seedlings on this day and we will need the same number of guards made up.  We welcome any interested volunteers to work together to get the job done on-site.  It is not hard and is really a lot of fun.  But like anything repetitive the more hands-on-deck the better. \nSnacks/refreshments will be provided. \nPlease let Lauren know on email: dieback@uppersnowylandcare.org.au or on 0411 402 978 if you can make this day and all the important details will be provided.
