Funds for Farmers and an Open Day at Dalgety: Managing Weeds with Less Herbicide
The Farms with a Future program has funds for local farmers who attend a Ground Work Day in Dalgety on Tuesday 13 March.
Farms with a Future is run by SCPA-South East Producers which secured funding through South East Local Land Services to assist farmers to improve the soil quality, water retention and environmental biodiversity on their farms.
By attending a Ground Work Day and submitting your ideas for your farm property, producers will be in the running for $1,000 towards implementing their plans.
The next Ground Work day is at Dalgety on Tuesday 13 March at Jinglefox, the property of sisters Tineke and Nicola Tamis.
You will learn about:
– a chemical free way to help manage weeds
– monitoring the results so you have evidence that the methods work.
